Uninstallation

Graphical removal | Use your system’s package manager:

•Software Center

•Discover → Installed

•Synaptic Package Manager

Search for miaphone and choose Remove or Uninstall.

Command line removal (recommended):

sudo apt remove miaphone

Complete removal (including user configuration)

sudo apt purge miaphone

⚠️ Both remove & purge actions remove configuration files located in the user’s home directory
(e.g. ~/.config/miaphone).

Important notes

•On Debian-based systems, remove and purge are normally different actions:

oremove → keeps user configuration

opurge → removes user configuration

•The application may be stopped automatically during upgrade or removal if it is running.

•Database lock files (WAL/SHM) are cleaned up automatically if required.

•In our case, remove is handled the same way as purge, including the removal of user configuration files.
